Despite President Obama paying lip service to the need for medical liability reform while speaking at a meeting of the American Medical Association, there is not a whisper of such reform in the more than 1,000-page health care legislation being pushed by the President and Congress.

Unfortunately, as it is currently constructed, this bill goes far beyond what is necessary to fix what is broken with our health care system,” said Troy M. Tippett, MD, a Florida neurosurgeon and president of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.
