Image of the Day: U.S. Internet Speeds Skyrocketed After Ending Failed "Net Neutrality" Experiment

CFIF often highlights how the Biden Administration's bizarre decision to resurrect failed "Net Neutrality" internet regulation, which caused private broadband investment to decline for the first time ever outside of a recession during its brief experiment at the end of the Obama Administration, is a terrible idea that will only punish consumers if allowed to take effect.  Here's what happened after that brief experiment was repealed under the Trump Administration and Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Ajit Pai - internet speeds skyrocketed despite latenight comedians' and left-wing activists' warnings that the internet was doomed:

CFIF Ad: Reform the Tax Code Now! Print
Thursday, February 16 2017

ALEXANDRIA, VA — In a full-page print ad in The Weekly Standard and Washington Examiner, the Center for Individual Freedom ("CFIF") is reminding Congress that “the tax code isn’t working for America” and urging policymakers to “reform the tax code now!”

“With a 35% corporate tax rate—the highest among OECD countries—and a code that is needlessly complicated and riddled with loopholes, the current U.S. tax code is broken,” the ad reads. “Congress can help America’s companies and workers compete by making the tax code simpler, closing the loopholes and setting a rate that is fair.”

The ad is the latest in a series that CFIF has run in support of comprehensive tax reform. (See here and here.)

“At a time when polarization severely plagues our political discourse, there is perhaps no issue more unifying than the urgent need for comprehensive tax reform,” said CFIF President Jeffrey Mazzella. “With its enormous complexity and sky-high rates, the U.S. tax code actively stifles growth, entrepreneurship, innovation, investment and job creation.  There is no excuse not to act. The time to reform the tax code is now.”
