More Legal Shenanigans from the Biden Administration’s Department of Education

Among the foremost threats to individual freedom in America is the abusive and oftentimes lawless behavior of federal administrative agencies, whose vast armies of overpaid bureaucrats remain unaccountable for their excesses.

CFIF Launches Public Education Effort in Louisiana, Urges Reform of Questionable Practices in State Attorney General’s Office Print
Thursday, October 15 2015

The Center for Individual Freedom (“CFIF”) today launched a public education effort in Louisiana to raise awareness about and encourage reform of questionable practices in the state’s Office of Attorney General.

CFIF’s public education effort focuses on Louisiana Attorney General Buddy Caldwell’s oft-criticized and controversial practice of awarding highly lucrative, no-bid legal contracts to outside attorneys, many of whom gave him large campaign donations.  CFIF’s effort also highlights Caldwell’s attempt to direct $1 million in Medicaid settlement funds away from health care, so that money could instead be used for a special settlement fund that would be controlled by the attorney general’s office.

The effort includes a website and a 30-second television ad that will begin airing today.  In addition to highlighting the questionable practices referenced above, the ad encourages Louisiana residents to call Attorney General Buddy Caldwell and tell him: “Enough! Clean up the Attorney General’s Office.”
