CFIF Joins Coalition Urging Real Health Care Reform, Not ObamaCare Print
Thursday, July 23 2009

In a letter sent this week to every Member of Congress, the Center for Individual Freedom joined with nearly 50 state and national organizations encouraging support for meaningful “health care legislation that expands health care choices and reduces health care costs through an open health care system.”

The letter notes that “many of the reforms Congress is currently considering will increase costs, reduce choices, raise taxes, and control our families' health care.”The organizations signing the letter expressed that we stand united against:

  • Giving bureaucrats any decision-making authority over American families’ health care.
  • Increasing the deficit.
  • A government health insurance plan.
  • A government health insurance exchange.
  • A government-designed co-op.
  • An individual mandate and an employer mandate.
  • Rationing health care.

The coalition letter was organized by Patients First, a project of Americans for Prosperity.
